Environmental Clearance
Our firm provides guidance on obtaining Environmental Clearance Certificates from the Department of Environment (DOE) in Bangladesh. This process is governed by the Bangladesh Environment Conservation Act (ECA) 1995, the Environment Conservation (Amendment) Act (ECAA) 2010, and the Environment Conservation Rules (ECR) 1997.
It is mandatory to obtain Environmental Clearance for every industry and project as per ECA 1995 and ECAA 2010. Environmental Clearance Certificates fall into four categories: Green, Orange-A, Orange-B, and Red. The procedure varies by category, with Green projects requiring a simpler process compared to Orange and Red categories, which necessitate additional approvals and clearances.
